London Poker Masters Schedule and GUKPT Walsall
Monday 22nd February saw the announcement of the schedule for the London Poker Masters Festival, which returns to the International Club for the second year running. Having acquired its status as one of the most enjoyable and entertaining live UK poker tournaments, the London Poker Masters Festival hopes to prove every bit as successful as last year. The ten day festival features a broad range of poker games, including no-limit Texas Hold’em, pot-limit Omaha and HORSE.
The London Poker Masters Festival begins on Friday the 26th February at 7pm with a £20 rebuy satellite to the £300 Monthly Freezeout on Saturday the 27th February at 3pm. On the Sunday, £100 HORSE will be available, whilst 1st to 7th March will predominantly feature no-limit Texas Hold’em. The festival’s £500 + £50 main event will begin at 3pm on Saturday 6th March, with various satellites available on the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th (at 12pm) March.
Many UK online poker players regularly enjoy live tournaments such as the London Poker Masters Festival. One of the more popular UK poker tournaments is the nine day Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT), which is currently underway in Walsall. The £1,000 main event of the Walsall leg began on Thursday and has attracted plenty of professional poker stars from all over the country.
GUKPT main events have always been hugely popular, which is in no small measure due to the substantial prize pools available. This year, an £88,150 first place prize is up for grabs, so the UK’s brightest stars will be out in force to push for victory. Last year’s corresponding GUKPT event in Walsall was won by Sunny Chattha, who banked a top prize of £88,150 against 301 other players. Meanwhile, Priyan de Mel won this year’s previous GUKPT event in Bolton for a cool £44,600 first prize.
